Meet Your Faculty
Andrew Harvey is an author, speaker, and founder/director of the Institute of Sacred Activism, an international organization focused on inviting concerned people to take up the challenge of our contemporary global crises by becoming inspired, effective, and practical agents of institutional and systemic change in order to create peace and sustainability.
Caroline Myss is a 5-time New York Times bestselling author and internationally renowned speaker in the fields of human consciousness, spirituality and mysticism, health, energy medicine, and the science of medical intuition. Caroline developed the field of Energy Anatomy, a science that correlates specific emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual stress patterns with diseases. Her works include Anatomy of the Spirit, Entering the Castle, and Defy Gravity.
Carolyn Baker’s mission is to create islands of sanity in a sea of global chaos. Through her multi-faceted outreach via webinars, podcasts, live workshops, books, and articles, as well as one-on-one life coaching, Carolyn is touching the lives of thousands to assist them in preparing for the dire consequences of the collapse of industrial civilization and abrupt climate change.
Mirabai Starr is a critically acclaimed author and translator of sacred literature. She teaches and speaks widely on contemplative practice, interspiritual experience, and the transformational power of loss. Her works include Dark Night of the Soul by John of the Cross; The Interior Castle; Teresa of Avila: The Book of My Life, and many more. Her book, God of Love: A Guide to the Heart of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, winner of the New Mexico/Arizona Book Award, positions her at the forefront of the emerging Interspiritual Movement.
Banafsheh Sayyad, the founder of Dance of Oneness®, is a Persian sacred dancer, choreographer, and transformational teacher. Awarded for her innovative dance, she is among the few bearers of authentic Persian dance in the world, an innovator of Sufi dance previously performed only by men, and one of the few artists who has mastered a fusion of high-level dance technique with spiritual embodiment.
Jill Angelo worked for nearly two decades in business management before changing her life’s direction to pursue an inner calling. For the past decade she has traveled extensively, studying and working with a number of leading spiritual and self-help authors. Her Sacred Space practice combines her business acumen with spiritual altruism, and represents an amalgam of the sacred places she visited and the myriad luminaries she has worked with.
Monica Sharma, trained as a physician and epidemiologist, worked for the United Nations for more than 20 years. Currently, she engages worldwide as an international expert and practitioner on leadership development for sustainable and equitable change. She works with the United Nations, universities, management institutions, governments, business, media, and civil society organizations. She is the Tata Chair Professor at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai. She has published and presented over 250 articles in journals and international forums.
