My journey started when I realized in my 20s that I’d be working for the rest of my life towards making someone else’s dreams come true, unless I made a change.
By no means was I hurting for money - I was working as a Sr. Front End Web Developer full-time, as well as teaching web development classes at George Mason University’s Volgenau School of Engineering.
I made a great living, but the thought of having to show up to work every day for the next 30+ years scared me.
Who doesn’t opt to control their future, if given the choice?
Understanding that making passive income was the only way to truly be “free”, I began researching how to sell on Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce website. Unfortunately, after months, I had made little progress…
But then, things changed.
Call it fate, but one morning while attending a business development mastermind to support a friend giving the keynote speech, I met someone that introduced themselves as an “Amazon seller”.
I wasn’t kidding when I said I had invested months (plural) trying to learn to vast & intimidating landscape of selling on Amazon on my own… and while I’d failed so far, I absolutely hadn’t given up on the dream.
After the event ended I made sure to hunt down the “Amazon Seller” & engage him in conversation, at the very least, the prod him for tips on how to get my business off the ground.
It turns out he was also an “Amazon Coach” that helped people just like me realize their goal of also achieving success on Amazon.
